WHETHER YOU’RE A CLASSICAL MUSIC BUFF, wine lover or jazz enthusiast, Vail hosts a festival for you. Kicking off on June 23, Bravo! Vail Music Festival (bravovail.org) will be returning for its 35th season. Founded in 1987, the festival has evolved from a small chamber music series into an international music festival. This year, Bravo! Vail will feature four of the world’s greatest orchestras: The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. The festival will span six weeks with more than 60 concerts, including performances from internationally renowned musicians and soloists, in a stunning Rocky Mountain setting. As part of its mission to cultivate budding musicians, Bravo! Vail will also include a Little Listeners @ The Library program.

The 28th annual Vail Jazz Festival (vailjazz.org) is a summerlong celebration of all things jazz. The festival’s kickoff party on June 30 will feature a cocktail reception, dinner and a live performance from Grammy-nominated guitarist Diego Figueiredo and world-renowned clarinetist and saxophonist Ken Peplowski. The festival continues Sunday evenings with a family-friendly series at Vail Jazz Solaris. This summer, the lineup will feature performances by the U.S. Air Force Academy Band’s Falconaires, The Burroughs and the Matthew Whitaker Quintet. The festival’s grand finale, known as the Vail Jazz Party, will take place on Labor Day weekend with over 35 hours of jazz music. Festival headliners will join together for jam sessions, group performances and tributes to jazz icons.
