WHAT ONCE HOUSED the CinéBistro movie theater in Vail’s Solaris Plaza is now home to Chasing Rabbits, a luxurious 13,000-square-foot playground that takes you on a delightfully dizzying journey from the moment you walk in. Four unique spaces make up this entertainment concept, a collaboration between Vail-based Solaris Group real estate company and Rockwell Group, the design firm behind Nobu and Tao.

“We wanted to create an entertainment venue that was compelling for families, tourists and locals alike,” says Thea Knobel, Solaris vice president. “With multiple experiences under one roof, Chasing Rabbits offers a different adventure every time you come in, no matter your mood.”

Light, bright and flavorful Mediterranean is on the menu in The Restaurant—grilled branzino, lamb shank that slips off the bone, citrusy ceviche and salmon crudo. In The Library, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves envelop an intimate lounge for cocktails and conversation. An 11-foot-tall pink bunny sculpture guards the entrance to the Rabbit Hole arcade and club, where you can play Skee-Ball while nibbling creative apps (mozzarella sticks with caviar or lobster corn dogs), then dance to DJ tunes well into the night. In the Moon Rabbit speakeasy, a moody bar where elements of East and West collide, sink into a banquette and order the Cosmonaut cocktail: a vodka concoction served in a coupe held by a mini astronaut with bunny ears.
The new venue gives a nod to the former theater with marquee design details and movie screenings held in both the Moon Rabbit and Rabbit Hole spaces.
