DESIGNER JACKIE JOHNSON is known for creating unique, luxurious spaces. She’s the creative force and principal behind Jackie Johnson Design (jackiejohnsondesign.com), a boutique design firm that creates modern interiors for residential home builders in Colorado and client projects in Arizona and California. Her signature style is infused with bold elements, color and a timeless modernity that is tailored to each client’s wish.
She works with architect Alvarez Morris and real estate developer LMH, and they recently collaborated on a project to create a farmhouse feel with a modern twist for homeowners in Denver’s popular East Wash Park neighborhood. The final result: a sophisticated space flooded with natural light. Light wood stain and a warm palette contrast with black windows and steel doors, making way for neutral custom furnishings and eye-catching brass finishes. This mixture of modern and transitional design is Johnson’s forte.
“I wanted to invoke character into this home to accentuate the architecture and highlight the intriguing lines by bringing in softness with shutters on the outside while keeping modern elements like the stunning glass entry with floor-to-ceiling windows,” Johnson says. The interior and exterior balance contemporary and classic design, creating a space that feels vibrant year-round. “Designing is such an exciting journey to be a part of because we know that home is where the heart is,” she says.
Johnson is also working on a luxury pillow line called The Collection by Jackie Johnson, which will debut later this year.
