As part of Isaia’s new patronage of the Museum of Capodimonte in Naples, the men’s spring/summer 2020 collection is inspired by the museum’s elaborate decor and masterful works.
What sets one impeccably cut men’s suit apart from the rest? Arguably, it’s the suit’s personality—how you feel when wearing it. Just ask Isaia, the Naples, Italy-based men’s tailoring brand that knows not only how to cut a suit, but how to create an enticing world around one.
In 1957, brand founder Enrico Isaia relocated his small drapery shop to Casalnuovo di Napoli, a storied town on the outskirts of Naples. Shortly thereafter, he opened a store next door, employing a few highly skilled local artisans to birth a tailoring company that would soon produce high-quality garments for some of Italy’s most prestigious boutiques. With Naples at the heart of Enrico’s design inspiration, he managed to conjure a unique, enjoyable way to dress that packs as much substance as it does flair.

Today, Isaia doubles down on what makes it so special. Its artisans have mastered how to bottle the brand’s blend of sophistication, irreverence and whimsical style, channeling it into a cohesive vision that resonates with men around the globe. Simply step into one of Isaia’s stores for further proof: You’ll find a vibrant coral-red piano among an array of rich wood furnishings, sleek lines, a dapper bar, and pops of its signature prints and textiles all around.
This concoction of masculinity and eccentricity at each store is part of what makes the house successful. It’s a notion the brand clearly understands as it expands in the U.S., adding a flagship on Chicago’s premier Oak Street come June, and eyeing spaces in Miami, Las Vegas, Dallas, D.C. and Canada as potential growth opportunities throughout the year.
