Tanya Taylor Stops By Denver and Vail To Celebrate Her New Spring Collection

New York-based designer Tanya Taylor touched down in Denver, hosting shopping events at luxury boutique Perch Denver and Perch Vail. The designer is known for incorporating color, texture, and original hand-painted prints in a size-inclusive collection. The Tanya Taylor collection will be at Perch Denver and Perch Vail through summer and fall. Here’s some soundbites from our meetup with Taylor:

Tanya What are you most looking forward to about being in Denver (and have you spent much time in the city)?

I’ve heard so much about the thriving arts and culture scene in Denver so I’m really excited to be here for the first time! I love going on trips across the country to do pop-ups and trunk shows because it gives me the opportunity to get first-hand thoughts from the women who love our styles. As a designer, it’s so important for me to have that personal connection.

What have you noticed about the Denver shopper— is the market different or just what you expected?

Denver is such a unique market for us, and we’re learning more about it every day. We’ve always had a very dedicated eCommerce customer and we’re excited to host this event at Perch [Denver and Vail] to meet the customer in person and put a face to the data that we have. We’re known for our colorful prints and accents, but we’re also seeing customers here gravitate to the solid colors and neutrals.

What are the favorite pieces in your latest collection that you think will resonate with Colorado shoppers?

Our knit combos are best sellers.

For something signature Tanya Taylor, I’m so excited by the Seraphina dress. This hand-painted brushstroke leopard print is gorgeous for an outdoor mountain wedding regardless of whether it’s day or night.

The Everleigh dress has become a new favorite as it's so easy to layer and accessorize.

Devon and the updated Joey dress are amazing for a seasonal transition period because they can be worn with boots and tights or with sandals.
