Pickleball is a great way to get out in the sun and exercise—plus it's a whole lot of fun. Here are the best places to play pickleball in Vail, Telluride, Breckenridge and more.

A newcomer opening May 20 (weather permitting), Aspen Meadows promises all the fun of pickleball and more during play at its facilities. Set to a beautiful Aspen Mountain backdrop, make a reservation for one of its six courts dedicated to pickleball or sharpen your skills by signing up for private lessons and clinics. What's more, the pro shop is stocked with gear, apparel and accessories if you’re new to the game.

At the Breckenridge Recreation Center, there is one lined pickleball court that is open for free play before 3 p.m. daily. During the winter months, players can come inside the center and play pickleball in the gymnasium.

At Center Park, there are six lined pickleball courts available for anyone to use. The courts are open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

At the Club at Crested Butte, members of the club can use the pickleball courts and brush up on their skills. The club offers pickleball classes to kids, as well as open-play pickleball, which members can sign up for. Open play pickleball times vary per week depending on the events that the club is hosting.

At Donovan Park in Vail, there are three outdoor pickleball courts. The courts are free to the public and the facility has a restroom, as well as water.

Open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., the Golden Peak Pickleball Center is a great place to go and practice your skills. There are six dedicated courts for pickleball and players of all ages can come and play for free.

Iselin Pickleball Courts has four courts that are open year-round from dawn to dusk. The courts are on a first-come, first-served basis, and be sure to bring your own raquet and pickleballs as there is no equipment available to rent.

Want to improve your pickleball skills with private or group lessons? With four pickleball courts at Telluride Racquet Club, this is the perfect place to go. The club puts on lessons for all ages, pickleball events and tournaments and the courts are available for open play. Here, players can see beautiful mountain views surrounding them as they improve their skills.

There are two pickleball courts in the Telluride Town Park. The courts are available in 90-minute time slots and players can reserve the courts online.

The Snowmass Village Recreation Center offers free indoor and outdoor pickleball courts. During the winter, pickleball can be played inside in the gymnasium, while during the summer, there are eight outdoor courts available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
With all of these great courts, a game of pickleball is never far away.
