ACHILLEA MILLEFOLIUM, commonly known as yarrow, is a flowering perennial noted for its healing properties. In Greek mythology, it is said that Achilles used it to staunch the bleeding of soldiers’ wounds. It’s also the name of the re-imagined spa at Aspen’s landmark Hotel Jerome, Auberge Resorts Collection (aubergeresorts.com). Yarrow’s revamped spa menu ties each treatment to indigenous minerals, botanicals and essential oils native to the Rocky Mountains. Organic plant-based products include Esker, Laurel, and Nature of Things—as well as Aspen-based Antedotum and Steamboat Springs-based Lost Range CBD.
Designed by celebrity skincare expert Joanna Czech, the new Mountain Moisture facial uses Clé de Peau Beauté products to hydrate, nourish and protect the skin from cold, snow and sun. The treatment features the brand’s Volumizing Cream Supreme, formulated with 40 years of skin-cell science and extract of watercress, a plant found on the banks of the Colorado River.
The spa also launched a complimentary Grounding Botanical foot soak as a decadent pre-treatment ritual for spa guests. Choose botanicals and essences from Yarrow’s Element Bar to create a custom blend tailored to your needs.
Also new to the hotel’s wellness offerings is a Peloton concierge program (guests can have a Peloton delivered to their room to keep a workout streak going). For a more contemplative option, Hotel Jerome has partnered with mindfulness platform Alo Moves to provide custom in-room meditations led by instructor Kirat Randhawa.
